Asian Islam Post-Doctoral Fellowship

The Asian Studies Program of Hamilton College invites applications for a two-year teaching post-doctoral fellowship for a scholar of Islam in South, Southeast, or East Asia to begin July 1, 2010. The applicant’s facility with Asian languages is assumed. Completion of dissertation by the time of appointment is expected, but ABDs nearing completion of the dissertation will be considered. Applicants must possess a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research and teaching. The successful candidate will teach three courses during the academic year and be housed in the department of his or her discipline. The annual stipend is $50,000 for the candidate with degree in hand and a $5,000 fund to support scholarship. The deadline for applications is March 12, 2010.
